Jeremy Winsor – Guide & Recovery Lead

Jeremy brings over two decades of leadership, coaching, and biological understanding to every trip and tracking effort. A graduate of Central Michigan University with a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education (emphasis in Earth/Space Science and Biology) and a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Cornerstone University, Jeremy has dedicated over 20 years to educating and coaching youth in Michigan.

His background as a science teacher and long-time wrestling coach directly shapes his approach to outdoorsmanship:

• Biological & Environmental Expertise: A deep educational background in biology and earth sciences provides Jeremy with an innate understanding of fish behavior, river dynamics, and tracking logistics.

• Patience & Instruction: Decades in the classroom translate into a patient, supportive environment on the water, whether teaching novice anglers how to mend thier line or helping experienced outdoorsmen hone their technique.

• Work Ethic & Perseverance: Grounded in years of head coaching, Jeremy approaches every wounded game recovery effort with the structured focus, discipline, and relentless perseverance required to deliver results when it matters most.

• A Foundation in Heritage: Jeremy is also the founder of the Michigan High School Steelhead Tournament and regularly leads hands-on outdoor courses teaching youth how to custom-build fishing rods, tie flies, and build spinners. For Jeremy, passing on the heritage of Michigan angling is a lifelong calling.
